The Wash Commoner is a local, community magazine that provides a mix of community features, church news and advertising for local companies and events. The Wash Commoner has been published by St George’s Church for many years and the church has recently made the decision to widen the readership of the magazine by removing the cover price and finding new distribution channel socal information, contacts, companies, trades people and advertising.

Subscription to The Wash Commoner is now free from the July issue. Copies can be picked up from the lobby of St George’s Church or free at many local shops and organisations, including Budgens. 

If you would like the magazine delivered to your door each month, please email your address to magazine[at]st-george-newbury.org.uk (by emailing us your details you consent for them being held on a secure database which will be used only for the Wash Commoner delivery).

Each month we publish a diary of events in and around Wash Common. If you would like to promote your event, please email the editors.

Magazine Copy Dates

The magazine is published on the last Sunday of each month (except December/January and July/August which are combined months.

Copy deadline is generally the second Friday of the month preceding publication.

The Copy deadline for the September issue is Friday, 9 August 2019.
