These are strange and difficult times and we all want to do our best to respond in the right way. It’s clear that our lives are going to be very different for many months and finding ways to sustain ourselves and each other is vital. 

At St George’s we have developed a new temporary benefice website with our sister church of St John’s which contains new and evolving ways to stay connected.

Although the church has to be closed to all visitors for the time being, we continue to offer spiritual and pastoral support by phone or online and we can work with other agencies to ensure those who are isolated receive the provisions they need.

St George’s remains active in praying for all

Coronavirus (COVID-19) latest guidance as at 23 March

Following the Government announcement on 23 March, St George’s church must now be closed to all visitors until further notice.

The vicar will come and pray in church each day for our community, our nation, and for the world at this difficult time.

 If you have a prayer request or would like a candle lit for a loved one, please phone 01635 524994 or 01635 45380.
